A message from the Chair of WORC
The Rural Outreach Program Endeavour is a program that has come full circle in the creation of this workbook. It has been my pleasure to see the final draft of the ROPE Workbook. Personally, I have gone through this program twice and each time I have had the wonderful experience of learning so much about myself and others as well as the entrepreneurial sprit of all the women who have taken this program since 2000.
There have been many successful businesses that have transpired due to the working knowledge of Brenda Scott, Executive Director / Program Manager, the Facilitators and most of all the Women. I would like to thank all the women who have completed the ROPE workbook. It was not an easy road for some as they have come to realize the cost of self-reliance.
The depth of this workbook has put the Women's Own Resource Centre on the map in the District of East Parry Sound and Ontario. We are a small but well respected Centre with an extensive knowledge of Women living in rural and remote areas.
I encourage you to venture into this learning experience with an open mind, even through the difficulties, and follow your passion of starting your own business. You will always be able to connect to support and encouragement from the Women's Own Resource Centre.
